GLANBIA selects WENDELL dairy as
2008 QUALITY PATRON OF THE YEAR
TWIN FALLS, ID -- December 23, 2008 – Dinis Dairy #2 in Wendell, operated by Manuel, Maria and Steve Dinis, were awarded Glanbia’s highest honor, 2008 Quality Patron of the Year at Glanbia’s annual December awards banquet last week. As winners, they received two all-expense paid tickets to Ireland, Glanbia’s headquarters, in September 2010.
This annual award rotates between small, medium and large dairies each year. This year, Dinis Dairy was selected from the medium dairy category. This dairy has been in operation since 2005.
“We always strive to do our best in producing top quality milk,” said Maria Dinis. “We were certainly surprised and honored by this important recognition by Glanbia. This award really means a lot to all of us at Dinis Dairy.”
In order to be recognized for this award, Glanbia’s milk suppliers must meet strict quality standards over 12 months, paying close attention to all facets of dairy operations.
“It’s great to have an outstanding dairy family like the Dinis family win our quality producer of the year. They are very deserving and are excellent operators and it shows in the quality of milk they produce,” said Russ De Kruyf milk procurement manager at Glanbia. “Our annual Quality Awards banquet is our opportunity to recognize and show our appreciation to Glanbia’s numerous milk producers who supply us with outstanding quality milk. We congratulate Dinis Dairy for winning this year.”
